The short answer
For eligible tickets, open the event in My Tickets or My Events in the Ticketmaster app or account, choose the seats to send, and enter the recipient's name and email address or mobile number. The recipient gets an email or text and accepts the tickets into their own Ticketmaster account.
Transfer availability and rules depend on the event. The rules for a given event are shown in your Ticketmaster account and terms.
Before you start
Sign in to the Ticketmaster account that holds the tickets and open the event from My Tickets or My Events in the app or account. Check the event's transfer option and any instructions displayed there before proceeding.
The event organizer can limit or switch off transfers for some events. Transfers may only become available close to the event date. The rules for a given event are shown in the Ticketmaster account and terms.
How to send tickets
When Ticketmaster makes transfer available, use the transfer flow in your account and review the recipient details before sending.
- Open My Tickets or My Events in the Ticketmaster app or account and select the event.
- Choose Transfer, then select the seats or tickets you want to send.
- Enter the recipient's name and email address or mobile number as prompted.
- Review the details and confirm the transfer in Ticketmaster.
How the recipient accepts
The recipient gets an email or text with instructions to accept. They follow the Ticketmaster link and sign in to or create their own Ticketmaster account to receive the tickets. They should check that the event and seats are correct in their account after accepting.
Can you cancel a transfer?
A transfer can usually be cancelled from the ticket order until the recipient accepts it. Open the event or order in your Ticketmaster account and check whether a cancellation option is available. The rules for a given event are shown in the Ticketmaster account and terms.
If Transfer is not available
The event organizer may have limited or switched off transfers, or the option may only open close to the event date. Check the event details and terms in your Ticketmaster account for the rules that apply. If the tickets or order need attention, contact Ticketmaster for help.
TicketsGarage is not the seller and cannot transfer tickets or manage a Ticketmaster order. Contact Ticketmaster for order help.
Accept tickets safely
Only accept tickets through Ticketmaster's own transfer process. Do not rely on screenshots or PDFs sent by strangers; they may not provide valid tickets or access to the event. Confirm the tickets appear in your Ticketmaster account.
The rules for a given event are shown in the Ticketmaster account and terms. Follow those instructions if they differ from this general guide.
